Boomer Veterinary Hospital

Editing to add: I actually had another visit today after writing my original review because my girl had a strange smell coming from her. Even though they were short-staffed, they still managed to get her in. Thankfully, it ended up just being her anal glands that needed to be expressed. Maya and Megan were absolute troopers! I usually see Maya whenever we’re there, and she is genuinely one of the sweetest people. But Megan deserves some serious recognition after having to deal with Nova today along with my kids gagging in the background 😂 and then cleaning everything up afterward while still being incredibly kind and patient through the entire thing. Experiences like today just confirm, once again, why this is literally the only vet I plan to use. I started bringing my Great Dane here as soon as we got her after switching from Sooner Vet, and it has genuinely been one of the best decisions I’ve made when it comes to veterinary care. Dr. Denton is one of the kindest and most compassionate veterinarians I’ve ever encountered, and that same level of care carries through the entire staff from the vet techs and assistants to the receptionists. Everyone has been wonderful. They treat Nova incredibly well, they actually listen when I have concerns, they take those concerns seriously, and their customer service is by far the best I’ve experienced at a veterinary practice. When you have a giant-breed puppy and you’re constantly worried about every little thing, having a veterinary team you genuinely trust means so much. I truly cannot recommend them enough. ❤️

Dr. Denton is the rock star veterinarian we never knew we needed!** For over four years, she’s been our go-to hero in a white coat. When one of our doodles was diagnosed with diabetes, Dr. Denton didn’t just drop the news and send us on our way; she turned into the world’s most patient teacher, walking us through every needle, every meal tweak, and every blood sugar curve like a rock legend dropping knowledge on stage. We fought the good fight for two years, but when our sweet girl’s organs started failing, Dr. Denton was right there with us; kind, compassionate, and genuinely heartbroken alongside us. She even picked up the phone multiple times just to check on my husband and me. That’s not just a vet… that’s a legend. Today we’ve still got two wild doodles at home (plus our son’s third chaos machine), and Dr. Denton has been in the trenches for every ear infection, every upset tummy, and every “what did you EAT this time?!” emergency. She never turns away a sick animal; same day or first thing the next morning, she makes it happen. Honestly, that’s exactly why I switched to her in the first place. One of furry kids was vomiting up blood, and our previous vet in Norman basically said, “Eh, we can squeeze you in next week.” Next week?! I almost lost my mind. Dr. Denton would’ve had that dog on a gurney faster than you can say “good boy.” Bottom line: I wouldn’t take my furry kids anywhere else. She’s the rare vet who actually talks *with* you, not at you. She explains everything in plain English, and when a chronic condition shows up, she equips you with everything you need to be the best pet parent possible. Thank you, Dr. Denton. You’re the real MVP of the animal kingdom. We love you!

Always a great visit
